Closure Notice for This Community Website

IMPORTANT NEWS

It is with mixed feelings that notice is hereby given that this website is to be         shut down.

The High Wych and Allens Green Community website will cease to be updated from Friday 6th August, will be discontinued and will disappear completely in February 2022.

The increase in the popularity of Facebook, WhatsApp, TikTok, Instagram and others has become the communicating medium of choice across the board.

Since this website first went online, these advances in communication technology have overtaken the standard website as an effective and efficient means of relaying information – in other words, this website has had its day!

However, one of the principle motives for this website coming into being was the requirement by law for Parish Councils to publish and allow free access to all Agendas, Minutes and other documents. Times have moved on and Parish Councils are now looking to have dedicated websites that will fulfil this remit.

Henceforth, the new website for High Wych Parish Council has just gone live and can be accessed by clicking on this link:

www.highwychparishcouncil.co.uk

From this new website you should be able to access all relevant and current information concerning the Parish Council and by January 2022 all retrospective information will have been transferred over.

Finally, thanks go to all who worked on this website to host it and update it regularly but thanks most of all go to those in the local community – over 24,300 visits recorded! - who hopefully found it useful and informative.
