Covid-19           Emergency Legislation for Parish Councils

The government has now passed emergency legislation that allows parish councils to conduct virtual meetings via Zoom or something similar.

The intention is to hold the May Ordinary Parish Council Meeting for High Wych Parish Council as a virtual event as originally scheduled on 20th May, at 8pm. The Chair of the Council is looking at how the public can have access. Details of how members of the public can be involved will be posted here as and when.

The Annual Council meeting has been deferred until May 2021.

No legislation has yet been provided for the Annual Meeting of the Parish.

It remains a requirement in law for this to take place as a public event before June 1st - except it's currently not permitted to meet!
